Approaching a table of natural beauty ingredients, is like walking into a (calorie free!) candy shop. So many possibilities and essential oil blends to create. So many nourishing oils. So much wild foraged bounty to infuse into our products.
Yes, there’s a lot to learn about making natural beauty products. It can be quite scientific and technical. But it can also be about pleasure and play.
After all, when you’re making beauty products for yourself – you can make them exactly how you want. The texture, the scent, the ingredients. And there’s something magical about the creative intent you put into the products. When you’ve spent a lovely day in the countryside mixing up a new skincare routine, I’m not sure how, but some of that natural beauty ends up in your finished product. You can feel it every evening when you apply your facial oil… there’s a little bit of memory, a little bit of natural radiance that comes through.
Throughout the year I regularly give workshops a Trill Farm, a 300-acre organic farm in Axminster (that’s about 2.5 hours by direct train from London – it’s an easy city escape, I promise!) Not only are we blessed at Trill with gorgeous surroundings and delicious organic food, but the founder of Trill, Romy Fraser, also founded the classic natural health and beauty retailer Neal’s Yard Remedies – so Trill is stocked for the ultimate natural beauty experience.
Here are links to my upcoming 2015 workshops at Trill Farm. I’d love for you to join me for a one-day workshop, make a weekend out of it with the Trill B&B, or come along to the seasonal 3 day ‘natural living retreats’ in Spring and Autumn.
Stay up to date with all of my upcoming workshops on my Events & Workshops page. I also offer private workshops and public workshops in other locations depending on my travel schedule. Hope to see you on a workshop this year!
Where in the world would you like me to teach this year? Let me know in the comments!
